We are having an issue where any thing we try and edit saves, populates for about 1 sec and then reverts back to the original content. However when we go in the backend the correct copy/edit is saved. Here is what our hosting provider told us:
Im seeing that there seems to be some kind of JS at play on the site that is responding after the initial page load and that seems to be changing the numbers at the top of the page. This is related to the calls the site is trying to make to connect.podium.com/widget.js.
When I ran a search in all files on the site to see what has that connect.podium.com/widget.js request in it’s code, I’m finding that it seems to be built in with the “royal-child” theme.
Please let us know what to do moving forward.
Hello,
1)Do you edit text of the top widgets and can’t change it? What text do you want to get in the topbar? Provide us with WP Dashboard and FTP access to your site to check.
2) If you made changes in child theme and added custom code we are not responsible for your child theme. We can help you only in case issue also appears with the parent theme.
3) We don’t call connect.podium.com. So, ask your hosting provider to scan your WP installation to make sure that you don’t have any viruses. Also, try to disable all the third-pary plugins that do not come bundled with our theme and check if you have this issue.
Regards
Edits are not saving, and are reverting back to original.
Still waiting for support here. This is very time sensitive!
Hello,
Take my apologies for the delay in answering because of the number of requests during these days.
We can’t log in to your dashboard using credentials that you provided https://prnt.sc/11uuccq
FTP is ok and I see that you made a lot of changes in the child theme.
