How do you activate the Elementor editor for just the product description? I do not want to have Elementor take over the entire product page layout. I only want to be able to layout rows and columns within the product description tab. I want to remain using the Xstore product page layout.
I tried enabling WooCommerce products post type under the elementor settings to turn on elementor, but when I click on “Edit With Elementor” on a product, it seems it is not just editing the description. It completely takes over the entire product page layout. I just want to affect the layout within the product description.
Which levers do I need to pull in the Xstore settings to enable Elementor for editing product descriptions?
It looks like in this demo https://xstore.8theme.com/elementor2/kids-toys/product/animal-designed-chair/ that the Xstore product page layout is maintained, but only the description tab content is using Elementor.
Hello, BHI,
Thank you for selecting XStore as your WooCommerce WordPress theme.
If you would like to edit the content of the product description tab using Elementor, please go to Elementor > Settings > General > Post Types and check the box for Products, then save your changes. After that, please clear your cache and check back.

Respectfully I already mentioned that in my initial thread. That does not yeild the intended result. When I do that, it removes all of the xstore product page layout and renders simply what was created within Elementor. The product photo, title, shortdescription, price, add to cart button – everything is removed when you view the page on the front end of the website after enabling Elementor for products post type.
For now I went ahead and actually created a product page layout using the Elementor Theme Builder within Elementor Pro because I could never get Xstore’s product layout template to display when elementor was turned on for products.
When I go tinto Xstore theme options and Single Product Builder, it never loads. There is a spinning circle loader indicator but the page never loads (even if I disable the elementor template / elementor description content)
Hello,
Thank you for your response and for your explanation.
1/ Try to disable the Elementor Pro plugin, go to Theme Options > WooCommerce > Single product Builder > activate the Builder and add elements inside the content area.
2/ If all works fine, contact support of Elementor Pro plugin and ask why you can’t use the theme builder when the Pro plugin version is activated. They will be able to guide you about their plugin settings.
3/ If after doing instructions from the first point, the Single Product Builder can’t be loaded, provide us with temporary wp-admin access to your site, so we can check the situation more deeply.
Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
Kind Regards,

I have resolved the issue. For anyone else who may run into a similar issue where the Xstore product layout is over taken when you enable Elementor here is what I did.
1. We had forced the default template for Elementor to use “Elementor Full Width” within the Elementor Site Settings.
2. When you do that, any time you use Elementor to create a new page, post, product, etc…Elementor will always use that template. It is not just applicable to WordPress pages. It seems to get in the way of all post types.
3. To Correct it you could go back and disable the default template and revert it to “Default” globally (we cannot do that because we need it turned on for all pages by default).
4. We solved it by manually changing it on the product level. When editing a product description with the Elementor editor, you click the gear icon in the lower left corner which will open up the Product Post Settings. There you’ll see a setting called “Page Layout” with a dropdown. If you change this to “Theme” it it will load the Xstore product theme instead of the Elementor theme.
The only thing I wish was that there was a global setting which you could say that for all product posts that it should use “Theme”. This has to be set manually on every product.
