Error message when trying to update theme/plugin

Hi,

When I try and update the xstore theme from 9.1.9 to 9.1.13 I get the following error message…

An error occurred while updating XStore: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

Current plugin version 5.1.9

Can you help please?

About PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10), please apply the solution from this topic – https://www.8theme.com/topic/i-can-not-update-xstore-from-my-wordpress/#post-359539
This problem occurs when you are trying to update the theme or plugin on the different domain that the theme was activated (for example you activated the theme on localhost and moved it to live domain). Re-activation as described in the topic will help you.

Hi Rose,

I’ve deregistered and re-registered as you suggest but I’m still getting the same error message when I try and update the theme.

The site was originally built on a development sub-domain and changed over to this domain back in 2021. I’ve not had any problems updating before.

I’ve entered my ftp and wordpress details in the private area of my first message if you would like to take a look.
