Hi,
On my home page header I have additional OG (Open Graph) meta links and I can’t work out where they are coming from, this also includes a default image for Facebook … I have not added this. I don’t have wordpress seo social option enabled.
Please look at the home page using view source through a web browser.
Can this be removed?
Also I have rel link (shortcut icon?) for a png image which has a lot of random code / text just under the viewport code, what is this as it seems a lot of code in the header.
Website in private content
Look forward to your reply.
Hello,
Could you please show a screen shot of the issue you’re talking about?
Thank you.

Eva,
I would rather not as some info is confidential which I would rather keep in private.
Quite simply all you need to do is view source code in IE or firefiox and you will see the code at the top in the <head> section.
Hello,
Do you want to remove meta name, title?
Could you please specify what exactly you want to hide?
Thank you.

Eva Kemp.
Eva there is og meta info and a Facebook image link that leads to a 404 error page.
Also why so much text for the shortcut icon ?
And og meta info in header, I have put image link in private content
Still no reply to this topic.
Guys I feel like you are ignoring my topics now?
it appears that opengraph is being loaded through the doc type, maybe this is from the demo data?
can you confirm if it is being loaded via this:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang=”en-GB” xmlns:og=”http://opengraphprotocol.org/schema/” xmlns:fb=”http://www.facebook.com/2008/fbml”>
I would like to remove this as I can add the opengraph via wordpress SEO by Yoast if required.
As previously mentioned the data included from this opengraph data points to a non valid facebook image which also brings up an 404 error page as the file does not exist in the uploads root folder.
Many thanks
To add further to this, the open graph data is being added to the doc type for sure.
W3C Validation also pulls this up and says it should not be included with the doc type, please see image included.
I would like to remove this from the header / doc type please.
Hello,
I don’t see any additional code for shortcut icon.
If you want to change Facebook Open Graph Meta Data you need to edit woopress/framework/theme-functions.php (lines 1305 – 1370).

Ok, can it be removed totally?
I noticed the website went down earlier on.
Can the doc type with open graph data be removed as W3C validation advised it should not be there.
Can I comment it out or add filter not to display it?
Thanks
Hello,
If you don’t plan to use this function you can comment out it.

Ok thanks Olga
