    Hi!

I have trouble installing the template. The standard solutions mentioned at Envato and this forum did not help for me. This is the problem:

When I install the Legenda theme by uploading it via the admin panel, it asks “Are you sure you want to do this?” when it’s done. The only button I can click on says “Try again”.

When I upload the theme via FTP, it does show the theme between the other themes. Though, when I click “activate”, the entire website turns white. The console says “500 error”.

I tried both ways two times. The first time without any plugin installed, the second time with woocommerce installed. Both give the same errors.

I also tried installing version 1.9.1 and 2.5 of the theme. Both give the same error again.

I read on Envato that server memory might be a problem, but as it has plenty, it shouldn’t be a problem.

Thanks in advance for helping me out!

    Hi,

Sorry for the late response. Though I checked the “Notify me of follow-up replies via email”, it didn’t send me any.

I fixed the problem together with a friend of mine. Because this problem happens to more people, I’ll describe here what I did.

    1. First go to the wp-config.php file and set the debug variable to “TRUE”.
    2. Then install the theme via FTP and activate it using the WordPress admin panel.
    3. Your page will be white, but because of the debug variable, it gives a (or more) error(s).
    4. My problem was a missing file which didn’t upload somehow. I manually searched for it in the files I downloaded from Envato. I uploaded the file manually and that fixed the error.

Don’t forget to set the debug to false after you fixed it!
