Hello,
We did a manual update, but we still have an indication that there is a new update. However, we do have the latest version.
Hello,
You renamed the parent theme folder, that’s why you have that message about the update, system does not detect that you use the latest version of our theme because of renaming.
Actually, we don’t recommend renaming the parent theme because you won’t be able to use auto-update in the future and need to update the theme manually if you renamed the parent theme folder.
Regards
well,
if i rename the folder, do i will get problem?
Hello,
You can re-name the theme back and then update, or update the theme manually – https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/theme-installation/theme-update/
Note that we are not responsible for incorrect custom renaming, if you do any changes in parent theme files, it is your responsibility. We hope for your understanding.
Regards
nope, it’s with the child one.
We do manually the changes.
Hello,
You renamed the parent theme folder https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/22645490?key=6e26cbe5b40eddeecc4b438a14143d22
If you rename the parent theme folder then you can’t automatically update the theme and will have that notification. I changed the parent theme folder name to the default one. Child theme name could be any you need.

Hello,
Still unable to update the theme and the core plugin.
Do you have a solution? Maybe i missed something.
Thanks!
Hello,
About PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10), try the solution from this topic – https://www.8theme.com/topic/the-package-could-not-be-installed-pclzip_err_bad_format-10-unable-to-find-2/#post-273465
Regards
We are using the child theme.
I believe there will be issues if I disable the child theme. Because the base theme cannot be disabled, it is by default in fact.
Can you confirm that this will have no impact on the website?
Hello,
I have deactivated theme here https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/22916702?key=a057b13a19bbbcf5e0d731a4b7a075e4 and activated it again and I was able to update theme after that without any issue on your site.

Hello,
I have the same problem with this website
Could you help me?
Hello,
Fixed there. Check now.
Regards
Just to be sure to not make a mess and also not having to bother you every time, is it ok to change the directory name if the client changed it? Also, is it possible to deactivate the theme and reactivate it without loss or display problem afterwards?
Hello,
1/ It’s not recommended to rename the parent theme folder. Only child theme. Child theme folder renaming is ok.
2/ You won’t face messing if deactivate and activate theme again using this https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/22916702?key=a057b13a19bbbcf5e0d731a4b7a075e4
3/ You don’t need deactivation anymore for the sites where I have already done that. Autoupdate should work ok in the future.
Regards
Ok!!
Thanks a lot, for ur tips and patience.
Are you from Ukraine?
I have a little question about translate this.
For now, i translate this with poedit, the core file and the theme file too.
