Hello, very nice theme, but I seem to be running up against an issue. I keep in getting this error message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 205520896 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 261900 bytes) in /home/content/29/12014829/html/wp-includes/post.php on line 430

This occurs only on pages that have used the Visual Composer’s Post Grid. Originally this was working fine when I set up the first two pages using, but then all of a sudden it started giving me an error. I contacted by web host and spent and hour with them playing around with increasing my .php memory, but it made no difference.

After that I turned off all of my plugins and turned them on one by one. It seemed that the WPBakery visual composer was the one causing the issue. So I deleted it and reinstalled it, but seem to continue with the problem.

I then played around and edited the type of posts it was drawing on and is seemed the problem was happening with Page posts only, so I reconfigured a few pages so they were Portfolio posts that they were drawing from. That seemed to work for a little while, but then the problem reoccured!

So I’m stuck again! Have you encountered this issue before? Can you offer some solutions?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

We advise you to increase WordPress PHP memory limit to 96MB: http://docs.woothemes.com/document/increasing-the-wordpress-memory-limit/.

    Hi Jack,

Thanks for replying. I had the host set it to their max. It is now at 196MB, but the problem persists. Do you have any other suggestions?

    Best,
    Scott

I’ve also set memory limit in wp-config.php file as there was notification in Woocommerce > System status: WP Memory Limit: 40MB.
    Please check your site now.

    Hi Eva,

Thank you very much for looking into this.
Sadly, the problem seems to be persisting.

At this URL http://theunluckyfox.com/theodore-browne/ I get this error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 205520896 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 261900 bytes) in /home/content/29/12014829/html/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 1071

And when I view the page on my ipad in mobile format, I get a 500 Internal Server Error.

    Hello,

The problem is you have memory_limit value set to 196M and the error is saying “tried to allocate 261900 bytes”, so it’s required 262M and you have only 196M.
This issue is related to your hosting provider. You have to contact them to resolve it.

Thanks Eva, will do. Is it common for this theme require so much memory? I’ve only just started laying out pages/content and am worried it will require more exponentially as the website unfolds.

    Scott

    UPDATE!
I spent heaps of time on hold with my host ( godaddy ) only to find out they believe the error is related to a ‘known issue’ with the their server and they are ‘working on it,’ however cannot provide me an approximate time the issue may be resolved by!

Thanks again for your help, I’ll post back when I get some clarity or resolution.
