Featured products and new products don't show on the homepage

Hello

I would like to have some info on how to show “featured” and “new” products on the homepage in the 2 tabs sections as seen on the demo of Wootheme.

I have the 2 “links” but first of all, they are “empty” and then when I click on them, nothing happens. On the demo, when you click on “new arrivals”, your page shows some products. The same thing happens when you click on “featured”.

How can I get the same results?

I have tried to put shortcodes inside the boxes on the page administration but it did not work.
