    Hello,

Ever since WooCommerce was updated to version 3.0.x and above, I have been having an issue with the Featured Products on my home page. The Featured Products are set at 4 columns with 12 products using the theme options settings, but they no longer rotate through the other 8 products after a page refresh. I realize that things changed with the way Woo handles featured products and found that meta-key and meta-value are now replaced for the tax-query argument for this to again function, but don’t know how to apply this fix to your theme. I have been keeping the theme and plugins up to date and am currently running Legenda v. 3.3 with all plugins updated and WooCommerce version 3.1.1.
    Could you help please?

    Regards
    Steve

    Hello,

Please provide wp-admin access in Private Content, so we could check because we don’t have this problem on our test site.

    Hello,

I’ve checked your site and seems you have 4 featured products, so I marked as featured 4 more random products. Also, I’ve added our element to display these products in slider. Please check home page now.

    Regards

    Hi Rose,

Thank you for your help, but, your solution does not fix the problem. Within WooCommerce, we had as of yesterday, at least 11 products marks as Featured.
Adding another element to the front page does not help the matter.
I had to undo your fix because the site owner does not want the entire page filled with Featured Products. Only one row of 4 displayed randomly, as it worked originally.

The way the Feature Products loop or randomizer worked prior to this breaking on our site after upgrading to WooCommerce 3.0.x was that, when you refreshed the page, then another set of the 12 selected featured products would randomly display within the one element of 4 columns across and ONLY one row. Not two or three rows.

I still have a working version of the way it worked prior to the upgrade but at this moment it only resides on one of my computers. If you desire I can put it up on a subdomain for you to see what i mean.
This is how the setting for featured products is set on the both versions within the Visual Composer element.
    [featured_products per_page="4" columns="4" orderby="rand" order="DESC"]

Within the Theme Options page for Products Page Layout the setting is “Products per row = 4”
and “Products per page = 12” but I’m not certain whether or not the element overrides that setting?

    Regards,
    Steve

    Hi,

First try to update the theme to its latest version and see that fixes it. Also, try using the Products element instead of the “Featured Products” element. In the Products choose “featured” in Products type

If that didn’t work, What happens if you turn the default theme Storefront and see how many products it shows for the featured shortcode?

    Let us know,

    Thanks,
    laranz.
