If you open up the page in maybe incognito or even just in a new tab, the font will flicker to a font that I have not set it to – and then in 0.5 seconds, it will flicker to the font I currently have it set to.

Is there a way to eliminate that font flicker?

If you check this GIF, you can see the font flickering VERY quickly but still VERY noticable.

    Hello

Since you’re pulling the font from a website and you don’t have the font hosted locally on your own server, there’s a delay between your page loading and the font loading.

If you download the font (.ttf) and run it through, it should elevate some of the loading issue.

I downloaded the actual font and uploaded it using the XStore tool.

This article does not help me at all, it presents me with a piece of code in which I put on the website and did not even work.

    Hello,

Use site preloader to show the site only once full page is loaded (Theme Options > General > Site preloader). It helps you to avoid situations when you see changes of the page content during page loading. That flip effect related to the loading of the font file, at the start, it loads the default font, then your custom font is loaded and you’ll get it, we can do nothing with this. You may also try the cache plugin and font preload option, as the WPRoket plugin has for example https://prnt.sc/12j389f

    Regards
