Hi,
The ‘open sans’ font isn’t showing on my website’s navigation and text.
I have selected ‘open sans’ as my font in the theme settings and my hosting provider can’t see any issues in the database.
Could you please help me to display the fonts correctly?
Thanks.
Hey Jayneth,
Thanks for writing in.
With respect to your query here, I can see that the font is actually being applied. Here is a sample test from my end: https://recordit.co/UomM0vj1Lj . Could I perhaps be missing out on something here?
I look forward to your reply.
Best Regards,
John
Hi John,
The issue is on the live site, not within the dashboard. Try looking at https://sales.chillizone.com.au/ and you should see what I mean.
Thanks.
Hey there,
Thanks for writing back.
In this case, yes I checked on it as per my screencast. The same font type that is applied within the dashboard is what is applied within the live site. You can also carry out a comparison on the characters from the Google specimen here: https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Open+Sans?preview.text_type=custom&preview.text=Chillizone%20has%20got%20the%20best%20range%20of%20indoor%20and%20outdoor%20styles,%20fabrics%20and%20colours%20available%20in%20just%20a%20few%20clicks!%20Our%20bean%20bags%20are%20great%20for%20both%20adults%20and%20kids,%20are%20hard%20wearing%20and%20easy%20to%20keep%20clean.&selection.family=Open+Sans
Let me know if you have any queries on this.
Best Regards,
John
Sorry to jump in on someone else’s thread but I’m having exactly the same problem… if I view my site through the X-store theme settings the font displayed is Lato as I have it set in the options. But when viewing the live site it displays in a standard serif font (exactly the same issue as the original poster)

I’d appreciate any help in getting this sorted out.
thanks
Phil
Hello Philbuzz,
Connect to your server via FTP and remove wp-content/fonts/lato/ folder. After that go to Theme Options > Typography > re-choose font and save settings.

Hi John,
I also see that the font on your live site is not working within the menu.
That’s great, thanks Rose
Hi Jancaerels,
Connect to your server via FTP and remove wp-content/fonts/open-sans/ folder. After that go to Theme Options > Typography > re-choose font and save settings.
