how can i divide the footer in 4 columns. When i add widgets now to the footer, they all appear above eachother. Your docs file doesn’t make anything clear about this.

    Hi Janhobo,

you need to add or create a STATIC BLOCK (dashboard – static blocks) there you can use the visual editor to create columns.
after you are done with the setup of the static block you need to publish it and then you simple add that static block to the footer widget area (using the static block widget). thats it 🙂

    hope that helps

    Hello,

You need choose “Widgetised Sidebar” element in Visual Composer editor.
Please note widgets must be added to your sidebars in Appearance > Widgets. Also you can create your own sidebars as shown in our documentation:
    https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/royal/#!/7_widgets_custom_widget_areas

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.
