Hi. Updated to the new VC pluging and noticed that on the front page where we usually have the 3 tabs (featured products, popular products, sale).
Please see attached image: http://prntscr.com/aujus1
Did anybody else have this issue?
Thanks,
G
Hello,
Have you updated VC plugin to the latest version https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ ?
Also VC authors changed code for Tabs element in the update and you have to recreate Tabs element on your pages.
Regards,
Eva Kemp.
Hi Eva. Yes, I have all plugins up-to-date (VC 4.11.2).
Do you have any instructions how to re-create the tabs? Would had been nice to know that this update will mess this up.
Regards,
George
Hello,
You need to remove current Tabs element on the pages where you use it, add new Tabs element with your content, save the page. It won’t mess your site.

Eva Kemp.
Hi Eva,
Today I tried it on our demo site, and I am not sure how to get the same result. Would I need to use the deprecated element or the new tab element? If so, I can’t find the options to re-add these features.
Thank you for your guidance.
Regards,
George
Hello,
You should remove deprecated Tabs element on your page and add new Tabs element from VC editor.
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
I would need help with this as I have tried most options and the result isn’t as in the original file. Probably I am doing something wrong. Login details below. Any questions, please let me know.
Regards,
George
Hello,
Please clarify what difficulties you’re experiencing when trying to recreate Tabs element.
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
Hi Jack. Spend quite a bit on trying to re-add the elements to have the same effect as it was originally in the template. Unfortunately all my trials ended with a different look than that what we have now. (example: http://lindoguitars.com/demo)

Hello,
The reason is VC authors changed Tabs styling and now it’s displayed differently.
As we told you they changed Tabs element code and that’s why it needs to be recreated.
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
Hi Jack. Thank you for your reply. I am not 100% sure if you understand what I am asking for. The above does make sense – that VC have made these changes.
It is great, but by re-adding the new TAB element isn’t straight forward or I am missing the trick. In the new element I can not find ‘tabs type’ or any option that would make the frontend look like in the demo or how we have it currently on our site.
Should you need any clarification please let me know.
Regards,
G
Hello,
On our demo we use old theme and plugins versions that’s why the style is different.
As VC authors change the code of Tabs element now they have different design.
You see such difference because we didn’t update demo theme and plugins.
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
If I understand correctly, what you are saying is that it can not be done? (http://prnt.sc/b4opr4)
Thanks,
G
Hello,
We can help you to change styling using css code.
Add new Tabs element and show a page.

Eva Kemp.
Hi Eva. Thank you for your offer. Before we get into this, could you please let me know if there are any plans to have this included in the next template update?
Thank you,
George
Hello,
For now there are no such plans but we’ll forward it to the developers.
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
