Hello,
Try to select other layout in Theme Options > Product page layout > Layout. After that clear browser cache and check sidebar on Shop page.

Hi,
This update has caused me a complete nightmare – introducing new problems. I have updated woocommerce and all my child theme files – but the problems exist when the parent theme is activated anyway.
The hidden side bar doesn’t work. The filters are displayed ok when a non-hidden sidebar layout option is chosen.
Image boxes on the home page that were ‘appearing from centre’ using the css styling – now don’t display at all unless the styling is removed. This is shown on the home page – the middle of the 3 images (which is missing of course) has the ‘appear from centre’ css styling set – the other two do not.
Mixed translation results. Before the update I created new translation files which mapped Cart to Bag. Now I have mixed results – the icon in the header shows the word bag, but clicking on the icon says ‘No products in cart’ or ‘View Cart’ etc.
Please help !
Thanks
David
Hello,
We know about the issue with hidden sidebar and it’ll be fixed in the nearest update.
I’ve removed CSS Animation for the image in center on the home page. Please check now.
Did you make changes in child theme or parent theme for Cart item?
You need edit the files in your child theme.
Also to change the text “Your cart in currently empty” which you see when no products are in the cart you need go to Theme Options > Shop > Text for empty cart.
By the way, please update all required plugins to the latest versions. You can download them here: https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/

Hi Eva,
Somewhat glad to hear the sidebar is a theme issue and not something I’ve done.
Yes, removing the animation makes the image appear – but that’s the problem – the client wants them to ‘appear from center’ as you scroll down. This used to work on the previous version of theme.
I have en_GB.po and .mo in woopress-child/languages. I notice that there is now a woocommerce-en_GB.po and .mo in wp-content/languages/plugins – which is probably the result of the woocommerce update. But copying these into woopress-child/languages has no affect. So I’m not clear where the languages files should be – please advise.
I had forgotten that the empty cart text is different and is stored in the theme – thank you.
Plugins – I have updated them all (in my local copy), however I cannot update WPBakery Visual Composer as it takes me to code canyon without any obvious download options. Its also not in your list of available downloads. Given the problem with the ‘appear from centre’ not working – this could be a prime candidate for the cause ?!?
Thanks
Hello,
Languages files should be placed in the child theme folder woopress-child. Theme files should be located in wp-content/themes/woopress/languages and the plugins translation files are in the directory wp-content/languages/plugins.
There are 2 pages for plugins download. Please check the second page https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/page/2/ and you’ll find Visual Composer archive there.
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
