Hello,
We are using the promo popup for a competition. The information we have included in the popup now show up in the meta description on our most important pages (Home & Shop) when searching on google for our best keywords.
So the meta description pretty much says people can compete and win rings, which of course if NOT what we want. This is very harmful for our brand and we are in high season so loosing sales as we speak.
Does this have to do with the popup being in the head instead of bottom body / footer?
Please see this image: https://snag.gy/hJoqiU.jpg
How can we make Google use our meta description as defined in our Yoast meta descriptions instead of what is in the popup?
Thanks!
Kind regards,
Marcus
Hello,
Sorry for the delay.
Have you tried to reindex your site after change Meta description?https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/6065812?hl=en
