Dear Support,
I have discovered to have plenty of hentry missing:updated errors in google webmaster. After some search on internet I have discovered that bug should be fixed by modifying some files of the theme.
Could you please help me to resolve this issue in order to not be penalized by google in terms of SEO?
Thanks in advance.
F.
Hello,
Please provide screenshot of the problem.

I’ve just realized I attached the image in an old post. This is the picture:
Hello,
I’ve sent theme-functions.php file to your registration email. Please try to replace the file in legenda/framework/ folder.

OK, I’ll update the file and let you know if the problem is solved.
Thank you.
Best regards.

Dear Rose,
Now that we have discovered that the provided theme-functions.php had a bug and lucky we solved the issue that it triggered, is there a possibility to fix the hentry error raised by google with a working file?
Please let me know how to proceed.
Best regards.
F.
Hello,
The fix was included in single.php file, so please check your site via google webmaster one more time.

Hello, we have had the same problem for over a year now.
Our Google Webmaster Tools has been showing a large number of Hentry Missing:updated errors.
Could you please provide us a plan, how to fix it?
At some point it has slowed down our site to receive zero traffic.
Many thanks
M.
Hello, @Malvine
Please give me full information about the problem with screenshots. Also, please provide us with your website URL.

Dear Rose
It is very much alike what Fabio Vito said.
I am attaching the screenshots.
I would be so happy if it was corrected.
Thank you
Hello, @Malvine
Please edit legenda/framework/theme-functions.php https://gyazo.com/c15c535999c643708655931e757ef78c > https://gyazo.com/b4b161b89f0887a6713f0a8c2adb4bbd
add_filter('get_the_content', 'et_add_hatom_data');
add_filter('the_excerpt', 'et_add_hatom_data');
add_filter('get_the_excerpt', 'et_add_hatom_data');
Also, the fix will be added in next theme update.

Thank you Rose.

Dear Friends
I checked Google webmaster tools, to find, that since applzing the changes, the number of errors dropped, however, it than grew again, and now it is not only “Missing: updated”, but now it is also
“missing: entry title”
“missing: author”
Structured Data > hentry (markup: microformats.org)
Status: 3/19/18
There are 46 erros of these kinds
Could you please provide a solution?
Thank you
be well
Martyna
Hello @Malvine
Have you checked if this issue appears with our theme only or with a default theme too?
Regards
Hello Rose
I checked it previously, than when Fabio Vito asked the question, and the answer was provided, it worked on my site. the number of problems dropped, from over 130 to 46. But when the solution was added to the code, new type of hentry problems appeared, just as I described in the message above.
When you look at the screenshot I provided in the previous email, you will see, that most of the errors relates to category pages. But unfortunatelly not only.
Hentry errors relate to the theme code.
Hello @Malvine,
Please read these articles https://wpcolt.com/fix-hentry-errors-wordpress/
https://wpcolt.com/get-fix-hentry-errors-wordpress/
and test your site here – https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/

Hello
I have read them… just as several other articles, for example by SEO Yoast.
In the article suggested by you, the authors say:
“As I mentioned, having issues related to hentry is not a big issue for your SEO rankings, so you can disable hentry in your WordPress website and Google will stop showing those errors for you, that is what I call “Dirty Fix“. But if you want to really fix them you will need to do few edits in your theme as hentry errors are actually coming from themes.”
Just as SEO Yoast, here as well, it is said, that the problem is in the theme. The errors appear, because of the theme code.
