Hi Mailchimp account connection could not be made

Hi,
I have used one of your theme and in footer in “Sign up to get latest updates” section , when the user enters mail address it is not getting recorded in mail chimp. I cannot create a new mail chimp account and connect it to the email entry form in footer. Please provide me with a solution.
