1. When on home page, how do I get my product categories to show up and to drop down when hovering over the Shop tab in my header?
2. On home page, the default “what’s happening” with the tabs “new arrivals” “featured” and “special”, how do I choose which products fall under these tabs? Right now, every product is landing under each tab when you select one of those tabs.
3. Is there a way to just add a “coming soon” or “check back later” or some custom text to one of your default pages (and not the entire site) while hiding all your default content so it is there if I want to add later but I still want the category to show up live with my Rev Slider on top? For example, I want the Portfolio page as an option but I am not ready to add anything to it so I would like a custom message to appear when someone goes to the page but I would like to hide any content that is already there and only show the message below my slider.
4. on my main page, where the 8theme product category block is, it only categories with product in them are visible. Is there a way to have all the category boxes show up here even if there are zero products available in that category?
Hello,
1. If you want to create megamenu go Appearance > Menus > Create Shop item(1-st menu level) with subitems where 2-d level will be column title, 3-d – column content. Save menu to see additional theme options for menu after that. Choose Design > Megamenu and select number of columns you need.
You may use Product Categories in menu http://www.flyingpixel.co.uk/flying-pixel-help/wordpress-help/woocommerce/adding-a-woocommerce-product-category-to-a-menu.html
2. Go to Pages > edit Home page and edit Products VC element on every tab. Select product type and sorting order according to your needs http://prntscr.com/bsg0ja
3. You can create page with content you need (coming soon etc.) and add into menu custom link with title Portfolio for example but link add to this custom page. Once Real Portfolio page will be created you just replace the link in menu.
4. Unfortunately, our Product Categories VC element does not display empty categories. But you may use Woo Product Categories element to add all the categories you have http://prntscr.com/bsg2dc
