    Hi,

    I did a fresh install of WordPress and Legenda and copied and pasted the HTML for the homepage from the old site to the new site. I thought it would be as simple as that but isn’t working out as planned.

    Here’s the link to the new homepage (with HTML from the old site pasted):

    http://anovelideatz.com/

    I’m working on the “Our Shops” section. I’d like it to display exactly as per the “Our Shops” section is on my old homepage:

    http://reneeblundon.com/projects/anovelidea/

    Will you let me know the following:

    A) How to achieve a solid grey background that goes full width and also leaves more spacing on the bottom and top of the section? (The grey background is currently aligning with the bottom of the image and very close to the “Our Shops” title, but it shouldn’t do that, it should leave spacing like it is on the old site)

    B) How to get the “Dar es Salaam” and “All” filters to display in hyperlink boxes?

    C) How to get all of my section titles to display with horizontal lines on both sides (As per “Books About Africa” on http://reneeblundon.com/projects/anovelidea/)

    Thanks,

    Renee

    Hello,

    To have the same page as on your old site you can export it and then import to a new site.
    Please read this documentation:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Tools_Export_Screen

    Hi Eva,

    I ended up recreating the “Our Shops” section from scratch which seems to have resolved most of the layout issues. You can see it at: http://anovelideatz.com/ I’m stopping for the night so it won’t be changing again until tomorrow.

    Will you have a look and let me know how to get the light grey background to go full width of the screen as well as behind the “Our Shop” text? I’m using an grey image for the background but can change to a grey color instead if you know of a way to make it work.

    Much Thanks,

    Renee

    Hello,

    You can use this code to change background color:
    .vc_custom_1401990973581 { background-color: #E0E0E0 !important; } instead of

    .vc_custom_1401990973581 {
        background-image: url('http://anovelideatz.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/grey-bg.jpg?id=241') !important; }

    Replace “#E0E0E0” with the color code you need.
    Unfortunately the color behind the “Our Shop” text can’t be stretched.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hi Eva,

    I made that change to the code, however the grey background color is still not full width. You can see it here: http://anovelideatz.com/

    Also, will need to get the grey color behind the title text. It’s supposed to be just like the “Our Shops” on the previous site: http://reneeblundon.com/projects/anovelidea/
    Not sure why this isn’t working on the new site but it’s working on the old site, as both have the Legenda theme installed…

    With Thanks,

    Renee

    Oh and no worries about the grey color behind the title, I ended-up just making it regular instead of a title and it works now. Just trying to get the grey background color full width.

    Hello,

    It was necessary to edit the row with Our Shops and enable Full width section. We’ve made it, please check!
