How can I add a standard search box as opposed to just using the magnifying glass icon?
My client has a ton of diverse products as a over stocked liquidator and he wants it to be very obvious on how a website visitor would search his inventory of items which will be well over 1000 products?
Here is a screen shot of some of the first ecommerce sites using woocommerce that I just screen captured off theme forest. This is what he wants. How can we add this to the top of the site?
Briefly explain how I would enable this? Be as specific as possible.
Thank you!
Ok, I figured out how to go into your theme options, header options and change the default the header #12 option which is closer to what he wants. But he wants this as a simple search process, not a popup window where the exit “X” is hard to locate to close the popup window. Can I suggest you add an additional header option in your next version release that adds a simple small search box like the one in the screen capture I provided in this thread, also here is a live URL.

You could add this as an option to the default header without effecting spacing and at the same time make searching easier for the website visitor. Please? It really make your ecommerce layouts better and more competitive to what’s already out there. Your thoughts? Any way of adding that now?
Hello,
Thank you for the suggestion. We’ll take this into our account.
Unfortunately now we don’t have option for default search form, you can use some plugin instead.
We’ll try to add it in our next update.
Sorry for inconveniences.

Great!!! In the meantime can you tell how would rename the label in header option #12 where it says “seach engine” to “product search”?
That sounds better.
Thanks.
Ron
Hello,
You can change that text in the file wp-content/themes/royal/headers/header-structure-4.php (line 39).
Thank you.
