Hello,
How can I change what should be displayed instead of “Newsletter” when activating the popup?
Before we have just used swedish language, so we just translated newsletter to something else, but now we have launched our english page and would need to change it to something appropriate.
Thanks!
Hi,
You can easily translate that word using the .po files. 🙂 Here is a guide: https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/royal/#!/1_how_to_translate If you have multi-language setup then you should have two .po files one for English and another for Swedish, so that you can alter both .po files. 🙂
Let us know,
Thanks,
laranz.
Hello,
I see, However it seems rather complicated to have to deal with .po files especially as I use WPML for all my translations and do not want to mess something up.
Is there a way to use WPML to change that string?
You say it is easy, but really, easy would be if you provided a textfield for changing that string in the promo popup section of the theme settings. This would take your developers 5 minutes to fix, but in 3 years it has not been done. I cannot be the only one requesting this?
Thanks!
Hello,
I sent your request to our developers.
You can change “Newsletter” text in /royal/framework/theme-functions.php https://prnt.sc/fllivt

Great. I really hope to see it there soon, as the workaround you suggested most likely will be removed with updates.
This brings me to another question:
It the promo popup WPML-ready?
How can I translate the content in for different languages?
Kind regards,
Marcus
Hello,
You can find promo popup content in String Translation section of WPML plugin.
