How can i have the product filter in the dashboard page filter by subcategory

I want to be able to select the car Brand first and after that based on the selection i want to show the sub categories of the selected Brand. I.e
select Honda in the first filter then have the second filter be filled with Honda models i.e. Honda civic, Honda jazz .. and so on. Currently best i could do is have it be loaded on the same dropdown but i want them in separete ones.
