how do I edit the footer content, the widgets are empty and the theme option only allows me to selct a theme.. there are no pages/widgets to change the footer! help..
Hello,
First you need to disable ‘Show footer demo blocks’ option in Theme Options->general then create your footer manually. Please read more in our documentation:
https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/woopress/index.html#!/0_footer

I’m having this same issue.
I went to this page Theme Options->general, but I’m not seeing any option for ‘Show footer demo blocks’.
Where is it?
Thank you
Tony
I had to turn footer off via theme options and create a static block, then go to widgets and add static block to footer area widget 🙂
Hello @arodono,
You need recreate footer as described in the documentation:

Thanks Eva, but I’m still confused.
The link you provided is for Woopress – was that intentional? I’m using ID Store.
I can’t find the option to turn off the static block – can you let me know where to find that? I’m also not seeing a static block widget that I can use to rebuild the footer.
Please advise. Thank you!
Tony
Hello @arodono,
As you’re using IDStore theme please refer to this documentation:
https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/idstore/index.html#!/widgets
There are special footer areas in Appearance > Widgets where you need add Text widget with your content or some other widgets.

Eva Kemp.
Hi Eva,
Thanks for your reply. I understand that I need to create new text widgets, but I’m not seeing where to turn off the static block in the theme options. Can you please let me know where I do this?
I’ve asked the question twice in previous posts but I can’t seem to get an answer. Thanks so much for your help.
Tony
Hello @arodono,
IDStore theme doesn’t have Static Blocks.
You should follow the documentation to create footer.
