How do I mark/unmark items for sale? - by findanish

Hello,

I created a page for hot sale and used the [etheme_sale] shortcode. It is showing random products for sale in that page now. But, where and how do I mark/unmark items for sale to be shown on that particular page. I know how to mark/unmark items for featured items and new, but not sure how do I mark items for sale and best sellers.

Hello,

When editing a product you need write Sale Price in Product Data section and this way a product will be marked as a sale one.

But The sale page has products which I have not entered the sale price but they still appear for some reason.

Also could you let me know how to mark/unmark best selling products?

This link is the page where I created using the sale shortcode. None of the products in this link have the sale price but only the regular price.

Also, could you show me how to mark/unmark products as best seller? This page is similarly created using the best seller shortcode.

Hello,

The reason is you didn’t specified sale price for any product. I’ve added a test product and set sale price for it and it’s shown on this page http://loveheart2heart.in/hot-sale/ where “sale” shortcode is used.
To add products to Best Sellers you need check “Mark this product as a SPECIAL one” in a product settings

Why are there products without the Special option turned on under best sellers yet? It doesnt matter if I check or uncheck the “Mark this product as a SPECIAL one.” There are random products under best seller for some reason.

Hello,

The best seller products display depends on your sells. The products that are sold better will be shown on that page.

My website is not live and I haven’t made any online sales yet. How can I clear the products already in that page?

So best seller has nothing to do with the Special product option under custom settings?

Yes, sorry for misunderstanding.
You’ll be able to show best seller products only when you start sell products.

Hello,

“Special” products are shown with the widget “8theme Special Offers” which you can add to Product Page Sidebar. The products which you mark as special will be displayed in the sidebar with the help of that widget.
To remove products from Best Sellers page just delete the shortcode.
