Hi
We want to disable the store for few months. Please tell me how do we do that? (temporary disabling possible?)
If not possible, how can i have “Under Construction” kind of static page as a temporary solution? Guide me through on how to do?
Thanks.
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us with your query.
To temporarily disable your store, you can indeed set up an “Under Construction” or “Coming Soon” page. This will inform your visitors that you are making updates to your store while keeping your site online but not operational in terms of sales.
You have a few options:
1/ https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/xstore-features/maintenance-mode/
2/ Alternatively, you may opt to use a third-party plugin that provides the required functionality. We do not impose restrictions on the use of such plugins, allowing you to choose the most suitable one available online. Please note that we do not provide official recommendations for third-party plugins.
Once you have chosen a plugin, install and activate it on your platform.
After activation, go to the plugin settings where you can configure the message, design, and other settings. You can customize the page to match your brand and communicate the appropriate message to your visitors.
Once your page is set up, enable the maintenance mode. This will make your store inaccessible to the public, displaying only the under construction page.
After enabling, ensure to test the page by visiting your website from different devices and networks to confirm that it displays correctly.
We hope this helps!
