How to setup your theme to live site
Hello, Eewa Farms,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
To set up the theme on a live site, please follow these general steps:
1. Backup Your Website:
Before making any changes, ensure you have a full backup of your website, including files and database.
2. Install the Theme:
– Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
– Navigate to Appearance > Themes > Add New.
– Upload the theme .zip file and click “Install Now.”
– Once installed, click “Activate.”
3. Install Required Plugins:
After activation, you may be prompted to install and activate required plugins – https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/plugins/included-plugins/
4. Import Demo Content (Optional)

– Replace demo content with your own content (pages, posts, images, etc.).
6. Set Up Menus and Widgets:
– Navigate to Appearance > Menus to assign your menu to the correct location.
– Go to Appearance > Widgets to configure your sidebar and footer widgets.
7. Final Checks:
– Test your site on different devices and browsers.
– Ensure all links, forms, and features are working correctly.
Regarding the import of WooCommerce data from a live site to a staging or test environment, this is indeed possible. However, for detailed guidance, we recommend consulting WooCommerce support or referring to their official documentation, as they will be best equipped to assist you with this process.

I need to use this demo https://xstore.8theme.com/elementor2/spices/ But no need dummy products. Site is live and already have products.
If I upload and activate the theme like you said. will it be look like https://xstore.8theme.com/elementor2/spices/ ?
If not, please tell me how to use this demo without importing dummy content.
Hope you understand my question.
Hello, Eewa Farms,
During the import process, you have the option to exclude the full content and instead select only specific parts to import, as shown in the following screenshot: https://prnt.sc/BgAMOOLTuFij.
However, since your website is already live, we strongly recommend creating a full copy of your site on a staging (test) environment and performing the import there first. Additionally, please ensure that you create a complete backup of your live website beforehand. This will allow you to restore the site to its previous state in case anything goes wrong. Your hosting provider should be able to assist you with creating a backup.
Alternatively, if you are only interested in importing specific pages — for example, just the homepage content from this demo: https://xstore.8theme.com/elementor2/spices/ — we can provide you with a file https://fex.net/s/crmrlnp that can be imported directly after creating a new page on your site https://elementor.com/help/template-library/
We hope this information is helpful.
Best regards,
The 8Theme Team
