How or where can I select the font when typing in a text block?

The pages come with demo text and I can edit it but I can’t change the font size or family. The only way I see this is possible is by selecting the text tab on top right which opens the coding and editing the text within the code but thats too complicated. If I create a new page and add a text block I’d have to go back to that existing page to copy and paste the code then modify to what I need. All the tutorial videos appear to have a drop down menu below the text.

How can I just type what I want in the font and size of my choice without having to mess with coding?

    Hello,

Sorry, but there is no option to select font in Text element in VC editor.
You have to write style code in html editor for the text block.

That’s a bummer. How about font size? Like is I want a heading then a horizontal line followed by standard text just like in the demo. This must also be coded into the text block?

    Hello,

Please clarify where exactly you want to change the font size and provide us with link to this page.

Any and all text blocks in VC. The frontpage on the parallax version of the woopress theme for example. tycowheels.com I haven’t changed any of the text in any of those text blocks yet.

I can change it, but I have to leave the same font and size… unless I go into the coding. Or, if I create a new page, add a row, add a text block, then start typing I can’t change the font or size either?

Only way I would be able to do this is by opening the existing page that came with the theme, opening the text block, copy the code, then paste it into my new text block and modify the text. But again, even doing that, I’m still stuck with the same font and size unless I edit the actual code.

    Hello,

You can set font size in Text element in html editor:

Yes I saw that, the font family is also in there. But that is very complicated for the average user like myself.

I hope WPbakery adds a drop down menu in the text editor in a future update. This would simplify the process of creating text.

    Thank you for the reply.
