Hi,
I try to get rid of unneeded picture sizes – where to set this?
Do I need to override some functionality of woocommerce functions to keep it from generating those?
Do you have a recommendation, where to see which sizes exactly are needed? Because there are only thumbnail, medium and large settings in Woocommerce settings for Media – but I have 9 or 10 image sizes generated.
Hello,
Additional customization is required to disable default WooCommerce sizes https://quadlayers.com/remove-wordpress-default-image-sizes/#:~:text=The%20first%20thing%20you%20need,0%20and%20update%20the%20settings.

Can’t tell you the list of sizes you need because need to see your site to find out what elements you use. If you use the default shop page and single product then you 100% need woocommerce_single and woocommerce_thumbnail

Ok, here the connection info.
Can you please inform me how to examine the needed picture sizes, because I will need to do it later too?
.. and is it so that if you change the theme, e.g. to debug something, the other theme can create the picture sizes they need to operate?
Hello,
Following my colleague’s last reply I need to repeat unfortunately there is no guideline and you need to see the exact element of your website to decide what size you want to demonstrate.
Themes will create suitable size for their respective elements and also Woo plugin has its own size too so most probably you will have your suitable images on your respective themes.

Is there a way to recreate missing sizes?
Hello,
What version of the theme do you use? We would recommend using the latest one – https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/theme-installation/theme-update/ https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/plugins/plugins-update/
Try to install this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/force-regenerate-thumbnails/ , go to Tools > regenerate thumbnails and check the result.
if this doesn’t give the desired result, contact the support of WooCommerce plugin.
