Hi!
Please I need your help to improve the speed of my website created with Xstore, it is very slow. I have installed the Xstore theme and its demo content, but unfortunately I see that it is very slow. Google pagespeed results only show 8% rating, and it only has Xstore’s default plugins.
I have already activated the optimization and speed options of the site that are in customize> theme options but in the front-end every time I click on a link, a product, a menu option or any other link within the same site always it takes more than 4 seconds to load, that bores my clients.
I had to delete all the plugins I need to leave only the default Xstore plugins, and the website is still slow.
I have duplicated this website so that you can safely access a staging site, I will need you to first review my staging site and then tell me what to adjust on my production website.
Hello,
I installed cache plugin and got much better results.

Thanks for your answer, I already saw the links you sent me, but, the site is still slow, the initial load of the site takes 4 seconds each time I open a section for the first time, I have another website with woocommerce that is much faster and it is on the same server.
I like Xstore, but it is very heavy and my clients get bored waiting that every time they click on a new section they have to wait 4 seconds.
Attached image with google page speed rating of 9%, the website is very slow and is not optimized for efficiency.
Please review these images, google pagespeed rates this website with 9%, and makes many recommendations.

Hello,
I have enabled all the possible optimization options in our theme. We don’t have any additional settings to make it faster at this moment. We are working on major theme update that improve the page speed but it will be available in the summer only. So, at this moment I could offer you only refund https://themeforest.net/refund_requests/new if you are not satisfied with theme speed.
Regards
That new update in what month will it be available? June 2021?
In my country there is no summer season, can you please confirm the exact or approximate date for this update?
Hello,
Very likely July-August.

Hi! I have requested the refund several days ago with themeforest, but I am still waiting for your approval, please approve my refund.
Thank you.
Hello,
Oh, take our apologies, missed that request. Check now.

It is NOT the theme. I am so tired of people sayging “xstore made my site slow” no, its your host or your lack of knowledge of how to properly set up a site.
My site? Heres some info about it:
– Xstore installed – all features turned on
– 4,000+ products
– 27 active plugins including 3 elementor addon plugins, many other heavy plugins
– 1,000’s of customers a day, 100’s of orders a day.
And guess what? My performance rating is a A- and my score is a 93, all green across all categories, no issues. Its because i run my site through a VPS and also a CDN, my server uses LiteSpeed Cache, my site is properly setup with caching and minifying, the biggest thing that helped was setting up firewall rules at the server level, to cut out the thousands of bots and hacker attempts before they even have a chance to drain my servers resources. This was the single most important thing i did with the biggest results to performance. I had around 20,000 connections to my server a day from bots, hackers, spam, brute force attacks, etc. Setting up firewall rules stopped all of it. I havnt had a “failed login attempt” in over 6 months now. I also turned off XMLRPC which was a huge doorway for hackers killing my servers resources with hundreds of login attempts a minute.
Get your server/hosting in order, get your caching and minifying in order, optimize all your photos with .webp on a CDN, and run your site through a CDN and make sure to setup the firewall rules (very advanced thing so you will most likely have to pay someone to do this properly, took me a while to learn what to put to stop the bots and attacks).
Hello, @amongthieves,
Thank you so much for your comment and explanation! We are very glad to hear that you chose our theme and happy with it.

Hi @amongthieves … just wondering 🙂 would you be willing to share your LiteSpeed Cache plugin config ? I’m struggling now with proper configuration of this plugin as either have some issues with CSS, CCSS or JS or lazyload … can’t make it really work properly 🙁 so some good example would be really great to have in hands to see what actually I’m doing wrong.
Hello, @amongthieves
We would be grateful if you could answer.

@olgabarlow thx for your support but seems @amongthieves doesn’t have time to share this config. Therefore maybe it would be good if Xstore support could create few “ideal/standard” configs for the most popular cache plugins … of course start with LiteSpeed 🙂 but also WP Rocket and W3 Cache are the one worth to include. Such “ideal” and “standard” set-ups would significantly help all of us and definitively would improve xstore experience .. not even mentioning how professional it would be 🙂 Heaving developers next to you who knows the code and precisely knows when which js and css are needed, this should not be a big deal … for us it is a matter of endless experiment -> we turn one switch in cache plugin, celebrating that all looks good on home page but few minutes later we are discovering that some other function does not work 🙁 -> never ending story = super exhausting 🙁
Hello, @Krzysztof
Point is that we don’t have special recommendations for our theme for the cache plugin options. Our theme and bundled plugins support CSS, JS, HTML minification and combine options, fonts preload etc. So, you can enable all these options and follow cache plugin docs to set it up. But we are not responsible for the third-party plugins that users use and that’s why you may face problems with the displaying because JS or CSS minification of the third-party plugin could cause issues for example.

Site speed increases soon the Xstore is uninstalled. How the theme is not impacting the load speeds?
Hello, @sahanaashu
Theme affects the site speed if you compare it with a completely simple default WP theme because it calls more scripts, styles, makes requests but if you set up cache plugin, optimize images, optimize pages content and server settings it does not affect speed critically.
Anyway, we are working on theme improvements and plan a major theme update with speed improvements in July-August. If you are not satisfied with the theme speed we are ready to give you refund.
Regards
