    Hi miss Kemp,

can you please help me out?
My site has been running super slow for a while now >

    http://www.lidogr.com

On ySlow (firefox addon) I get tips like:
This page has 34 external Javascript scripts. Try combining them into one.
This page has 25 external stylesheets. Try combining them into one.
This page has 7 external background images. Try combining them with CSS sprites.

    and many more…

    Any help would be awesome.

    Greetings!

    Hello,

You’re using old theme version. Please update it to 3.6 version: http://themeforest.net/item/idstore-responsive-multipurpose-ecommerce-theme/4792186

    Thank you.

    Hello,

after updating the theme to the latest version I noticed that the loading time was improved but only slightly. Are there any other suggestions that would help out?

Again, I’d be grateful for any help.

    Greetings.

    Hello,

Try to disable 3rd-party plugins and check site loading again.
Some plugins may cause slow loading.

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hello,

you were right again. I disabled the WPML plugin and the site is now running quite smoothly.

May I ask you two more questions now?

    a) The categories list on the side in the products page, isn’t working.
When clicking on any of them (either Greek or English), I get a 404 page not found result. Any idea why this is happening and how I can fix it?

    b) There are some elements which need translation/editing. How do I do that? For instance the text on any product button now says ΕΠΙΛΕΞΤΕ, from where can I edit that? Should I renable the WPML plugin, edit from there and then again disable it?

    Thank you so much.

    Hello,

    1. I’ve edited Permalinks settings. Please check the categories links now and clear browser cache before.
    2. You need translate the text “ΕΠΙΛΕΞΤΕ” in .po files as you translated the whole theme.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

Good day! Thank you again for your prompt reply and effective help.

    1. Works great. Thank you.
    2. I can’t find the specific string anywhere in the .po file and other strings that I translated, haven’t been updated. I even erased the cache and still nothing.

    Thank you again.

    Greetings.

Hi, I had translated most of the text from the .po file and some of them through the string translation manager within the WPML plugin (which I have now disabled).

Unfortunately I don’t remember my FTP credentials but if you’re interested in the .po file, you may download it here >

    Thank you, greetings!

    Hello,

In the directory /wp-content/languages/plugins open the file woocommerce-el.po and find the translation for “Select options”. You need edit this string.

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hi again,

that didn’t solve the problem. Still the string is the same as before “ΕΠΙΛΕΞΤΕ”.

It should be “ΕΠΙΛΟΓΗ ΜΕΓΕΘΟΥΣ” as reflected in the woocommerce-el.po file under /wp-content/languages/plugins

I’m sorry to bug you again.

    Greetings.

Hi, have you forgotten about me? Should I try to enable the plugins and see from there?
I wish there was another way to do this.

    Greetings
