    Hi there

The product images seem to lose quality for the shop page, thumbnails, and elsewhere.

I checked your documentation but don’t understand why this is happening.

Do you have any tips on optimizing image quality, especially for woocommerce and the theme settings for this?

I have tried with my images and also with the existing ones from the template, Feel free to log into admin to check the status and troubleshoot the issue. Check private content area.

Thanks a lot for your help!

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your concern regarding the image quality on your shop page and thumbnails. We understand how important it is to have high-quality images to showcase your products effectively.

To address this issue, we kindly ask you to review the following article, which provides detailed guidance on managing product images: https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/woocommerce/product-images/

Here is a screenshot from your Shop page https://prnt.sc/HOF07LoFDsjl , so please go to Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product Images > Thumbnail Width > set 432px . Once you have made this change, please proceed to regenerate the thumbnails using the appropriate plugin.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team

    Ok, thanks alot.

done, so next is to download a plugin to regenerate all thumbnails?

    Following important questions:
Do you recommend webp files for the theme? If not, what is the optimal file?
What is the recommended prod photo dimensions and file size?

Max widht of 600? File size >200kb?

    Thanks a lot!

    Hello,

We would like to inform you that the actions required are detailed in the documentation. Specifically, you are required to regenerate the images using the designated plugin.

Please note that the dimensions of the images are not related to the theme. The settings mentioned are derived from the WooCommerce plugin. Therefore, we kindly suggest directing any inquiries regarding this matter to the WooCommerce support forum at the following link: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/

It is recommended to use a graphics editor and prepare product images (make them the same size) before uploading images to your media gallery and for products.

Also, note that Zoom on hover (single product page https://elmate.no/produkt/el-mate-kopp/ ) shows the image in real size it was uploaded on the site.

We hope this information is helpful.

    Best Regards,
    The 8Theme Team
