Hi, i have a few issues with images if you can help please.
1) I have tried to change the image sizes on the site to those you recommended but as woocommerce has changed, i have been unable to do so.
2) Should i be trimming my images to the largest image size that will be displayed. e.g. Single product image – 555×741, or just upload in whatever they come as and the template will crop to the size needed.
3) I have created a test product and uploaded 3 photos, all of which are the same dimensions, but when you hover over to zoom, the zoom on the main image is tiny in comparison to the other two. Is it something i have done wrong.
Hello,
Use customizer settings to set the size you need http://prntscr.com/ik093w and regenerate thumbnails after that. Gallery images use WP thumbnails size (Settings > Media) because WC customizer does not have the individual settings for this because of 3.3 update. So, if you don’t want to crop thumbnails images disable crop in WP settings and regenerate thumbnails! Thumbnails regeneration is important to apply changes.
On the test product, I do not see the problem with zoom. Is this solved? If not, please clear cache and check one more time or provide a screenshot of the problem.
Regards
I deleted the cache and regenerated images. Have provided screenshots. As you can see, it doesn’t really zoom on the first image
Also could you clarify whether i needed to have all images the same size when i upload them to woocommerce ?
Hello,
Oh I see that the zoom on the first image a bit different. I’ve passed this to our developers.
Yes, we would recommend to use graphics editor and prepare product images (make them the same size) before uploading it to your media gallery, then your grid will look much better than if you use crop option.
Regards
Many thanks for your support. does it matter what size i upload them to the site as or just as long as they are all the same size. I don’t need to change the size to the gallery size for example
Hello,
Unfortunately, it looks like theme bug. Can you provide me FTP access and we’ll try to fix it?
