I want to optimize my images, including thumbnails. To do this, I need to determine which images require optimization. The theme seems to use a responsive approach to images, as the image source contains multiple versions of the same image in various sizes.

Can you advise me on which image sizes need to be optimized, and if it is possible to deliver specific sizes only?

There is no specific size that should be optimized. Generally, if this is done through a plugin, the optimization is applied to all image sizes.
