Hi,
please check e.g. this page [1] (or other product pages).
On most product pages one or more images won’t load. It looks like this now. The product has a product image assigned, though.
Do you know what’s happening here?
Best regards
Hello,
The images are loading after a second when you scroll the slider.
I don’t see any problems. Products images are loading fine.

Eva Kemp.
Hi,
Please try [1] or [2] and press refresh a few time. It doesn’t always fail but it fails quite often.

Hello,
Please provide FTP and WP Dashboard credentials in private content.

Sure!
Hello,
We recommend you to update the theme to 3.0.1 version.
Before starting update you need create a back up of the site and database.
After that check your product pages.

Eva Kemp.
Hi,
I can’t update to the new version atm. It needs to work with the currently active version.

Sry, I need to solve this. The installed version of Legenda is ~two months old. This should be working.
Please advise!
Best regards
Hello,
When activated parent theme the images are loading properly.
You need check your modifications in the child theme.

Hi,
mh. That’s weird… the only css mod that should be active down here is related to out-of-stock items but excluding this snippet
.items-slider .slider .slide-item .outofstock {
display: none;
}
seems to solve the problem.
It was recommended here.
Edit: The explanation seems quite fitting, because if one uses the right arrow to scroll in the next product the image appears. At my testing scenario two out-of-stock items were hidden and two non-out-of-stock images weren’t loading as they should.
-> Maybe Eva’s fix disturbs the image loading logic?
Would you kindly check this on your side?
Thanks again!
Best regards
Hello,
In this case you can hide out of stock items from products page with the setting “Hide out of stock items from the catalog” in Woocommerce > Settings > Products > Inventory.

Jack Richardson.
Hi,
mh, that won’t work. They should be visible in the standard WooCommerce catalog. They just shouldn’t be visible in the recommendation section.
-> It does make sense to keep products in the catalog that aren’t available for sale atm… so that people can find them when they look/google for them. Think of a portfolio… but not everything is available atm.
-> It does not make sense to recommend products that are not ready to be sold atm. In this case you want to show the visitors other products they can actually buy.
Thanks again for taking care!
Best regards
Hello,
In this case it requires additional customization in php files. If you wish you can order it via this form https://www.8theme.com/customization-services/ and our developers will help you.
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
Hi,
ok. Would that fix/feature be included in the next upgrade then?
I don’t like custom fixes because one has to care about it at each update.

Hello,
This should be discussed with the developers.
We can forward the query to them for discussion.
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
Hi,
yes. Please do that.
There should be a checkbox at the backend somewhere, saying something like this:
[x] Just show products that are in stock at similiar/recommended products.
It think it’s a logic default behaviour to not recommend products that aren’t available but anyway.
Please let me know how much the checkbox + filter would cost.
Thanks you!

?
Hello,
Please take our apologies for delay.
Unfortunately the fix with out of stock products in slider hasn’t been added due to more priority tasks in the current theme update. Our developer team will add the mentioned fix in one of the next updates.
Thank you for understanding.

Jack Richardson.
Hi Jack,
thanks for the reply.
“Our developer team will add the mentioned fix in one of the next updates.”
Mh.
Ok. Would you please make sure that this will be included in the next update?
Best regards
Hello,
This request is added in the theme improvement task list, so I hope the fix will be included in the next update. Thank you for understanding.

Hello,
You are welcome.

Hi,
did the fix made it into the current update?
If not… is this still on the table? As I said, recommending products that are out of stock doesn’t really make sense.
Best regards
Hi @mleihs,
In that case use this related.php http://take.ms/d5nZ2 in the /woocommerce/single-product/realted.php either in your child theme or parent theme. I suggest using Child theme for code edits. You can edit the loop like I did in the related.php for up-sells.php too.
Let us know,
Thanks,
laranz.
