Importing demo content…please wait, it may take up to 2 minutes

Hello,

Just bought my fourth xstore theme. Like all the others this theme is installed on the same server.

I installed wordpress then proceed to upload the theme. Server requirements are all in check. I select the theme (handmade) then come to plugins installation.

After checking them all and proceeding with installation, 8theme core failed but all the others are installed.

Then the notice comes:

Importing demo content…please wait, it may take up to 2 minutes.

It’s taking forever and it doesn’t come to an end.

I’m not saying it’s the theme, i will call the hosting provider to check but it’s strange since i’ve done this a couple of times on the same setup… Any ideas ?

Hello,

Were all the plugins installed successfully? In case if automatic plugin installation fails, you can install them manually via your Dashboard: Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin > Browse plugins archives. Or via FTP, by uploading and extracting the plugin zip files into wp-content/plugins folder – https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/
Try to install demo content from XStore > Import Demos or provide temporary admin panel access and we’ll help you.

Hello,

So this didn’t go well…

I managed to go past the notice “importing demo data” by installing xstore core from the:
https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ and then start the wizard.

But now the imported site looks nothing like the one in the demo. Proportions are all wrong, different footer, header, buttons on forms, sitebar showing, subpages missing (instructions etc.)…

I mean i could do that on my own and correct it, but why if it’s a easy import demo ?
Didn’t have this issues when i was importing all the other xstore themes.

Please take a look, credentials are in private.

ıs there any easy way to change home page’s hamburger pıcture wıth another pıcture ?

Hello @oguzonal,

What exactly image do you want to change?
Logo image can be changed in Theme Options > Header > Logo.
