Instagram Feed showing likes instead of comments

Hi, I see that the instagram feed module shows number of comments, can we change it to show the number of likes? and also is it possible that everytime customer click on the image it automatically add a like? (if their device is logged in)

Hello, kmc,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

1) Regarding the possibility of adding a like automatically every time a customer clicks on an image, unfortunately, this is not feasible due to Instagram’s restrictions.

2) We can attempt to implement a feature to display the number of likes, but we will require access to your website’s admin panel and FTP to proceed.

I just checked my FB, re-generated everything, and it still does not show comments, I am sure what went wrong.

Thanks for working on this, I see that now it shows both likes and comments, is there an option to display only likes or comments?

Hello, kmc,

We would like to inform you that the option to display the number of comments has been disabled by turning off the “Show comments count” setting in the widget configurations.

Additionally, we are pleased to announce the introduction of new features for the “Instagram” widget:
– Show likes count
– Show comments count
– Hide empty meta (This feature hides the count of likes and comments if they are zero or empty, and it works for each post separately.)

These enhancements are designed to provide better customization of your Instagram display. These options are now available following the installation of the patch “UPDATED: Instagram meta options,” which we have applied to your settings.

Please note that these features will also be included in the next theme update.
