Install New Theme Updates on XStore Child Theme

Hello,
How do i go about updating the child theme without losing my entire month worth of work.

I NEED to apply the updates to my website but i don’t want a situation where i lose all my settings.

Hello, @Azager,

First of all, please note that the Child Theme is only for Customization purposes, and there is no need to update it.

You always have to update the Parent Theme.

And if you did the Customization in your Child Theme then I suggest you to take the complete backup of your site before updating the theme so that if any issue will occur then you will have the working backup of your site.

And then try to update the theme manually via FTP, you can follow our theme documentation here: https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/theme-installation/theme-update/
