I was having trouble with a previous theme, so I decided to start again.
I had functioning basic site on Twenty Fifteen theme. I uploaded the ‘Royal Theme’ via ftp transfer. As I was unable to upload zip file via wordpress. I activated in wordpress and then installed all recommended plugins. Saved and logged then out, and now when I try access wp dashboard I get the following white page and error message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 311296 bytes) in /hermes/bosnaweb03a/b1366/ipw.katashworthcom/public_html/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/params/iconpicker/iconpicker.php on line 379

    How can I fix this?
    Thank you

    Hello,

Ask your hosting to increase memory_limit to 128 MB.
Also you need to increase the values of upload_max_filesize, post_max_size and check allow_url_fopen option, must be enabled.

    Regards,
    Robert Hall.

    Hello Robert
I did some research and addresed the increase memory_limit within files:
    cache.php php.ini .htaccess
I only increased it to 64M, is it better to be 128M with this theme?
This did however fix the problem.

Where / what file do I increase the values of upload_max_filesize, post_max_size ?
and where do I enable allow_url_fopen option ?

I have made further plugin installs including wooCommerce, and then moved the media library.
My site is now coming up completely blank?
Should I send login details via private message?
    Thanks

Also, the Visual Composer aspect is not working within page edit.
It is ticked in the VC Settings.

    Hello,

I’ve checked your site and haven’t seen any errors. Please provide us with a direct link where the errors appear. To update plugins you can download them at this link https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ and upload new versions to the directory wp-content/plugins.

    Thank you.

    Hello,
Thank you for checking out the site. The message seems to be a transitory. I have just logged into the site for the day, and at first it appeared on the plugins page. http://www.3someapparel.com/wp-admin/plugins.php
But now it is gone again. I have taken screenshots when the last few errors appeared, how can I send them to you?

I will access plugin updates from the link provided.
    Thank you

    Hello,
Could this error have anything to do with that I’m not using the Royal_child theme?

I have updated plugins via ftp, from downloads from 8theme site. This method has worked, however the same strange message continued to come up, always with reference to ‘Screets Chat’ plugin. I deactivated the plugin, and although it is now asking me to reactivate this plugin, it certainly seems like it is the issue, as the following plugin I updated, this message DID NOT Appear. I have inspected the plugin via ftp, and I can’t find any files with the same reference name.

I have screenshots how can I send these to you?

Also, in previous reply I mentioned about message that has appeared from updating WooCommerce. How can I address this?
    Regards
    Kat

    Hello,

Concerning the plugins you need update them via FTP downloading from the link you were provided in the previous post. Also you had notices and not errors. They were shown because debug mode was enabled in wp-config.php file. I’ve disabled it. Please check the site now and clear browser cache before.

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hello,

Thank you for attending update of wp-config.php file.
The site has been working wonderfully for past 48 hours. However there are still strange hermes/bosnaweb03….. message in some places.

I don’t believe you have addressed my comments about the WooCommerce notice? Do I need to recap that one?

And most importantly. As I said the site has been working well since your last edit. Approx two hours ago, I did an update of WordPress, as it is recommended to keep it up to date. This caused an almost instant recurrence of the Fatal error memory exhausted message. ALong with a blank site. As previously I fixed this by increasing the memory limit to 128M in the cache.php php.ini and .htaccess file. As this had previously worked. When I uploaded these files to the live SQL i now have a 500 Internal Server Error.
I have contacted my host supplier and they have checked the PHP settings etc from there end, seems to be no issues and the memory limit is set to 128M correctly. They have suggested changing the theme, as I don’t want to do that, their only other advice was to contact the theme developers.

Is the Royal theme compatible with the very latest version of wordpress?
Do you know what may have caused this Fatal Server Error?
And how can I fix this so I have a website again?
    Again, Thank you

    Hello,

Please ask your host to increase memory_limit value to 256M in php.ini file.

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.
