Internet Explorer causing many issues - by lcribb

Hi there

I thought I was all done with my site, having tested it on Firefox and Chrome. But I just loaded it in IE8 and IE9 and the site is all over the place. Please help advise what can be done to resolve this. Here are some of the issues I am encountering:

– Left-hand side-navigation bar appears when it shouldn’t (IE8 and 9)
– Left-hand side-navigation blocks parts of the site when window size is reduced (IE8 and 9)
– Left-hand side-navigation doesn’t disappear when X is clicked (IE8 and 9)
– “Featured products” and “new products” sliders don’t display (IE8 and 9)
– Sticky top navigation background is transparent when scrolling down, so only text stays sticky at the top without a background colour (IE8)
– Each testimonial in footer writes over the previous one creating illegible jumble (IE8)

Thanks for your quick help on this. I can see form other posts that there may bave been a new release of the Legenda theme that resolves some IE issues, but it seems to have introduced others. Please advise. We’re supposed to launch the site today.

Hello,

Please try disabling plugins one by one and test the site on IE9
Also the Legenda theme isn’t compatibility with IE8. You can read about this here:
