Hi everyone,
we are getting an invalid Email error during checkout when the first part of an Email adress contains a “.”.
Example: sebastian.petersen@t-online.de is invalid while sebastianpetersen@t-online.de is valid.
We don’t use any plugins to change the fields – yet.
Do you have any suggestions?
Hello,
You can edit legenda/js/etheme.js file and delete this part of code https://prnt.sc/fsr6wn

Hello,
I have te same issue. I deleted the code just as is shown on the screen that you attached above, but it does not work. I still receive an error “Billing email address is a required field”. When I remove a dot from the email address it works. Please, let me know, what to do next.
I just thought it may be related to the outdated copies of WooCommerce files? You told me not to worry about them some time ago, but maybe something changed. I attach my system report in a private content. Looking forward to hearings from you.
Best regards,
Blanka
Hello, @BlankM,
I’ve checked checkout process with email that contains dot but didn’t face the error. Please describe how we can recreate the problem on your site.

Rose Tyler.
Indeed Rose,
I forgot to clean my browser after editing code. I cleaned it now, tested with dot, and it seems that the problem is solved. Thank you.
Best regards,
Blanka
You’re welcome!

This is not a solution. 8theme needs to correct it’s buggy algorithm and post an update. This is what we paid for when we bought the theme.
Please respond – thanks.
Hello, @Michael,
We made this to protect sites from spam. But I understand you and will send the request to our developers.
