Hello,
I’m encountering an issue in my WooCommerce-based online store when I activate the XStore theme and import a .dat file. After doing this, my product types (variable/simple) start automatically switching on their own. This issue only appears when the XStore theme is active and a .dat file is imported. It causes confusion for customers and makes product management challenging.
Here’s what I’ve already tried:
Deactivated all other plugins to rule out conflicts – the issue persists when the XStore plugin is active.
Cleared the cache and updated the WooCommerce database, but this didn’t solve the issue.
Importing the .dat file seems to trigger the automatic switching of product types again.
This issue occurs only with the XStore theme active and after importing the .dat file. WooCommerce, the XStore theme, and all plugins are up to date.
Are there any known conflicts between XStore and WooCommerce that might affect product types? Could you provide any recommendations or fixes for this problem?
Thank you for your help!
Hello, x0321,
Thank you for reaching out to us and providing detailed information about the issue you’re encountering.
1/ Could you kindly record a video clearly showing the entire process and the issue as described? This will help us attempt to replicate the steps on our test site.
Additionally, we would appreciate it if you could provide a second video demonstrating the same actions but using a different theme, such as the default WooCommerce theme (Storefront), to confirm whether the issue is specifically related to the active theme on your site.
Please upload both videos to a file-sharing service and provide us with the download links.
Furthermore, if the product import file you used for testing is not confidential, we would appreciate it if you could share that with us as well.
2/ Have you recently updated the WooCommerce plugin? If so, could you let us know which previous version of WooCommerce was functioning correctly for you?
We look forward to your response and appreciate your cooperation in helping us resolve this matter.
Best Regards,
8Theme’s Team
