Issue with maintenance mode not switching off / no redirect

Hello,

I have started using the maintenance mode page and encountered a 2 issues.

1. In case the maintenance is over, I expected a redirect from the maintenance page to for example the homepage on reload? Otherwise the user would not know that the site back online

2. After switching off maintenance, there is a significant delay (15 minutes +) until the site is available again. In incognito mode, however, the site switches to and from maintenance mode immediately.

I tested it with “w3 total cache” and “really simple ssl” on and off, incl. cache purging. No difference from 2.

Deleting cookies does not help. Only after purging the browser history, the site works normal again.

Hello,

yes, I am referring to the xstrore Maintenance Mode.

Of course, I understand your point. I can implement a back-to-home button for now.

The switching behavior, however, is a problem. The maintenance mode should switch off immediately. Could you please look into it?

Hello, Martin,

It looks like a problem with some sort of cache on your site (cache plugin, CDN or server cache). We do not have this problem on our test sites and other customers did not complain about this.
