Hello,
I’m using the XStore theme for my WordPress and WooCommerce online store, but I’ve encountered a serious issue. When the XStore plugin is activated, my products intermittently switch between variable and simple types on their own. This causes confusion for customers and creates challenges in managing the products. Here’s what I’ve already tried:
Deactivated all other plugins to rule out conflicts, but the issue persists only when XStore is activated.
Cleared the cache and updated the WooCommerce database, but this didn’t solve the issue.
The problem disappears when the XStore plugin is deactivated.
Do you have a solution for this issue, or are there any known conflicts between XStore and WooCommerce that could be affecting product types? I would appreciate any recommendations or updates to resolve this problem.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and for using XStore.
Could you please record a video of the problem or some screenshots for a better understanding?
Upload them on a filesharing service, for example – https://wetransfer.com/ , and provide us with URL.
Warm Regards,
The 8Theme Team
It’s very easy to reproduce. Just open any product, add a variation, and after a few minutes, it will start happening. I just edited one product.

I recorded a video and uploaded it to Google Drive.
Hello,
Could you kindly clarify whether the products were created manually or imported?
Additionally, we would appreciate it if you could provide us with FTP access to further investigate the issue.
For FTP access, we require the following details: FTP host, FTP username, FTP password, FTP port, and FTP encryption type. If you need assistance in creating these credentials, please reach out to your hosting provider who will guide you through the process.
The behavior you described seems unusual, as none of our other clients have encountered a similar problem.
Best regards,
8Theme Team
I imported the products using the API and then edited them in the admin panel.
Hello, x0321,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We would like to address the following points:
1) Could you please clarify how you switched to the current product editor? It differs from the default WooCommerce editor, and we have not tested its compatibility with our theme. Additionally, this editor lacks many features provided by our theme.
2) It appears that product re-imports are occurring periodically. Could you confirm whether the import process is enabled on a continuous basis, or if it was disabled after the initial import?
3) Unfortunately, the FTP credentials you provided are not working. Please find the details in the attached files.
Best regards,
8Theme’s Team
1. This product editor is switched within WooCommerce. The same situation applies to the older version of the product editor. I chose the new editor mainly because it makes managing product variations more convenient.
2. I’m not sure why this is happening or how to disable it. I only tried importing products a few times using CSV, but those attempts were unsuccessful. So, I created an import process using the API, which added 50 products along with their images.
3. I checked, and I was able to connect successfully.
Switching from the XStore child theme to the main XStore theme helped me. Previously, I was using the XStore child demo: Minimal Fashion. (https://www.8theme.com/woocommerce-themes/minimal-fashion-store-wordpress-woocommerce-theme/)
After the switch, the admin panel was inaccessible for about 10-15 minutes, and every attempt to log in resulted in a 429 error.
Although the site’s design partially broke after this, the products started displaying correctly.
