    Dear Team,

We would like to display the sidebar filter in a hierarchical format, similar to what is shown on the website: https://xstore.8theme.com/elementor/demos/organic01/shop/. Currently, the filter displays all product categories, but not in a hierarchy; instead, it shows each category individually.

Could you please guide us on how to solve this issue?

We appreciate your help and look forward to your response.

    Best regards,
    DW

    Hello, Crispy123,

Unfortunately, the category filter does not have such functionality. However, you can use the default WooCommerce widget “Product Categories” and select the “Show hierarchy” option within it https://prnt.sc/EgSTdSGWWE_i

    Hello 8Theme Team,
Yes we have the Default WooCommerce widget also activated.
We do not want the hierarchy to be expanded but rather collapsed by default. Additionally, we are experiencing long loading times when selecting categories.

How can we solve both issues?

    Best regards,

    Hello, Crispy123,

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

1/ Please test the “Only show children of the current category” option https://prnt.sc/kxhO9xK6gP0q
Alternatively, custom development may be required to modify the widget behavior according to your needs – https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/uncategorized/paid-additional-customization-services/

2/ As for the long loading times when selecting categories, this issue may be related to the number of products or categories, server performance, or theme/plugin conflicts. We suggest the following steps to help identify and resolve the issue:

    1. Ensure that your WordPress, theme, and all plugins are updated to the latest versions.
    2. Try disabling third-party plugins temporarily to check if any of them are causing the delay.
    3. Enable debugging or use a performance profiling plugin to identify any bottlenecks.
    4. Consider optimizing your database and enabling caching to improve overall performance.

We hope this information is helpful.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team
