    Hi

Just loaded my test site on an iPad Air and nothing loads – it only affects this theme and seems to be the static blocks and anything with ajax ie closing a pop up / menu etc.

Site works perfect on mobiles, larger screen iPads and desktops but not on iPad Air (technically in between mobile and tablet breakpoint so 640px – 991px is typical sizing of issue).

Here is the whole page (photo) -> https://i.imgur.com/nBEhEcA.jpeg

Here is a close up showing all the static block elements not showing but with the multiple spinners going mad -> https://i.imgur.com/zEK2Nn2.jpeg

Can you advise what is causing this? Do I need to go into elementor settings and add the tablet small screens to the breakpoints and then restyle each page with the new layouts or is it another issue that can be causing it?

    Thanks

    Hello,

Everything works good from our side. Could you please, provide us in the private content area a link to that page where you have such issues ? Also, check it in different browsers, please, and let us know. Make sure that your browsers are up to date.

    Regards

    Hi

Yes I’ve tried everything. You can see the spinners are not loading.

I’ll try on a different iPad Air.

Using an emulator will not replicate these issues. You need a physical device.

It affects every page. Each and every page.

I’ll try a new iPad Air first and update this.

    Hello,

Yes, let us know how it works on a different iPad Air.
Also, check a few our demos, do you have the same problem on your device there?

    Hi

    Still the same issue.

Do you have a smaller device that uses screen sizes between 640px -> 991px?

Must be a physical device like an iPad – not an emulator.

If so try and view it on the device portrait view… nothing is loading – all static custom blocks just keeps spinning.

Might be the iOS as it’s an older iPad so I’ve got a new one coming – will update once I re-test with a new one that allows better iOS than 12, which may be why it’s not working right as it’s so outdated and cannot update iOS.

I’ll revert back to this post in a few days.

    Thanks.

    Hello, Niddy,

We checked on several browser emulators, however, due to the time constraints of testing and the fact that your site is currently in maintenance mode, we were unable to obtain enough time to login and test the issue.

To assist us in resolving this issue, we kindly request that you please try to find the best emulator that accurately simulates the bug you are experiencing on your actual device.

Once you have found an emulator that replicates the issue, please share its URL with us. We look forward to receiving your new “non-bugged” device, as per your previous statement.

    Best Regards,
    8themes team.

    Hi

I have tried on a real device – that is better than any emulator, example – no emulator can properly show a mobile layout as the browser cannot physically shrink to the mobile breakpoint so emulators are useless in the main. I always check with real devices….

Here is your own demo also not showing any of the static blocks. This is the same demo as my site uses – the glasses elementor theme –> https://i.imgur.com/2ChFQen.jpeg

I am using an older iPad – however surely it should still load the content? I have wiped it clean and then setup a whole new icloud user so it was a blank ipad with no settings etc blocking content.

Now, unless it is the code the only thing would be the iPad cannot show this content… It is running iOS 12 (cannot upgrade as the iPad is too old) – so could that be affecting it?

Please don’t waste hours – was just wondering if there’s a logical reason that an older iOS would stop the latest coding standards displaying properly?

    Greetings,

We have reviewed the issue you have reported and it appears that an older version of iOS may be causing issues with the proper display of the latest coding standards. We regret that we are unable to provide further assistance in this regard as we are not able to access the iOS coding structure.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and recommend using updated and current devices for optimal performance.

    Sincerely,
    8theme team

    Hiya

That’s fine – I am more a designer and wasn’t too sure if an older device could stop dynamic content – hence was just asking as you’ll likely know more so thanks for confirming what I thought was the issue.

I’ve got a new iPad on order so will test again when that comes – the latest model lol. Thing is I can’t obviously tell the clients customers to buy a new device but anyway – that isn’t our fault sooooo!

Thanks so much for all your help again. 🙂

    Hiya

Just to confirm – on a newer iPad everything loads perfect and works as it should.

That’s a learning curve for us all – I never would have thought the iOS affected content loading but there we have it, it 100% does. So the theme is confirmed as perfect – older devices will however struggle to load the content.

Thanks again for all your time helping me resolve this – it truly is appreciated. You guys are the best 🙂
