Hello,
We’re facing some issue or the other on installing this theme on Digital Ocean.
We deleted everything and tried again on a Plesk Install of Digital Ocean, and getting major 500 Internal Server Errors in the Customizer and even the demo is not imported properly.
Hello,
Contact your hosting provider support and ask the server error logs and fix the errors related to server settings/limits. Provide us also with the error logs. We suppose that your server has some limits and it causes the 500 error in the Customizer.
All the other content was imported.
Regards
Server settings are fine as other themes are importing fine.
Limits as per your XStore Dashboard are fine also.
Server log is in private content area. I have reinstalled wordpress and tried again and same error.
Hello,
These 2 errors causes the issue with the Customizer and they are related to server settings

Please, ask your hosting provider to increase the body response limits.
Our theme has a lot of options, so it seems you have limits for this on your server.

The moment I disabled ModSecurity (Web Application Firewall) It worked.
If you have any experts in house who can confirm how or which particular feature I can disable in the ModSecurity to ensure the customizer works because I dont want to leave ModSecurity disabled forever. And having the customizer not working for the client can be frustrating later.
Hello,
Take a look at the documentation here https://github.com/SpiderLabs/ModSecurity/wiki/Reference-Manual#SecResponseBodyLimit By default this limit is configured to 512 KB, anything over this limit will be rejected with status code 500 (Internal Server Error). You’ll need to ask your hosting provider to increase the limit to fix the problem.
This should resolve the issue.
Also, we can’t connect to your WP Dashboard and FTP any more to check what limit you have and try to disable our modules. So, try the first solution and reply back with the correct access if you increase the limit but it still does not work.
Regards
