Hi there,
1- I have been having issues with my shipping zones not changing / not applying when customer uses certain post code. I have a free delivery shipping method that only applies to certain few postcodes within the UK. Unfortunately even if I put one of the free delivery post codes into my shipping address, it still only shows my paid shipping option.
I thought this was an issue with woocommerce, or an issue with how I set this up, but after spending a few hours trying to resolve with them, they logged in to my site and believe it is something in the theme causing this to happen.
I have the transcript of the chat with woocommerce that I can share with you, as I am aware I am not explaining this very well!
2- I am also wondering, is there a way to disable apple pay / google pay for just one product? I ask as I had to disable it completely as it was conflicting with my Mix and Match product. If possible I would like to enable it, but just not for that product.
Thanks in advance!!
Hello,
Provide temporary wp-admin and FTP access, so we can take a closer look.
Describe in more detail what should we do not be able to see the problem, give an example.
Regards
I need anyone who lives in these post codes: BN11 BN12 BN13 BN14 BN15 to get the choise between Free Local Delivery or paid 1st / 2nd class shipping as options when they check out.
The rest of the UK should only see the options of 1st or 2nd class.
As far as I am aware and going by what woocommerce support have said, I have selected correct settings / zones to do this, but something is conflicting with it.
Thanks
Hello,
Could you please, check if the mentioned option works fine with the default WooCommerce theme? Do the backup of widgets and Theme Options before theme switching. Then go to Appearance > Install and activate Storefront theme > check the issue. Do you see the issue with shipping when the default theme is activated?
Switch back to XStore.
Regards
Thank you,
Issue is not happening with storefront theme.
Hello,
Really? Because I don’t see Storefront theme in the list of themes you have https://prnt.sc/125738x
And once I install and try with it I see the same shipping methods https://prnt.sc/12579mb https://prnt.sc/1257bri
So, explain in more detail what exactly does work differently with our theme than with the Storefront?
Regards
I am going from what the woo-commerce support team has told me. They have logged into my site to see if they can find the problem. They told me they believe the issue is with the theme.
What you are showing in the screenshot was not previously showing before and is still not showing when myself or the woo support team use a BN11 post code – https://prnt.sc/125ri14
All I want, is for people in the few chosen postcodes, to have the option between the usual paid shipping that is available to the whole of the UK and the Free Delivery service that we operate.
Hello,
Then contact WooCommerce support team and clarify the situation and settings you need to set to get correct shipping. We are able to help you in case issue appears with our theme only or in theme settings. Shipping is the default WooCommerce option, so, unfortunately, we are not responsible for it if it does not work the way you need even with the default theme.
At this moment if I use BN11 I get https://prnt.sc/12734lq
If I use BN11 5HU I get https://prnt.sc/127362g
And it displays the same way even with the Storefront, you can enable and check.
Regards
What you are showing in the screenshot, is what I wanted. But I am not getting that when I use BN11 post code? I am only getting the paid shipping? – https://prnt.sc/127m8ia
I know the woocommerce team also only see the paid shipping, as well as my partner who is also testing if the free shipping will show.
I spoke with woo commerce for hours and they have told me the reason it wasn’t showing was theme related, I have all transcipts of chats that I can forward. It’s hard to solve issues like this as both support teams seem to point me to the other team and I am not that experienced so I am unsure of the issue.
Okay – now woocommerce are saying they no longer think it’s an issue with the theme… so sorry to hassle you with that!
I am still wondering if someone can answer my second issue though, am I able to disable apple pay / google pay on just a single product? I currently have it disabled completely as it conflicts with my mix and match product, but if possible I would like to use it on the rest of my site.
Thanks
Hello,
If WooCommerce plugin support tells you that issue is related to the premium theme that you use then ask them to show you the video of how it works on your site with their official theme – Storefront. Like I did. I enabled the Storefront theme, checked your shipping and provided screenshots https://prnt.sc/12579mb to confirm and prove that it works the same way as with our theme. And everything is clear.
Now I would ask you to check your the apple pay / google pay on single product with the Storefront theme. Does it work fine when you go to Appearance > Themes > and enable Storefront? You can provide us with screenshot of how it works with the Storefront using Lightshot screenshot tool or with a short video using the Gyzo gif free tool.
Regards
Thank you.
It’s not so much an issue with it not working! It worked perfectly fine before I added a mix and match product, but it conflicts with that product as it allows customers to pay without picking the options for the mix and match. Just wondering if I am able to disable it on only one product, rather than disable it completely?
Hello
Yes you can check this plugin according to your requirement and let us know if your issue is fixed.
