Hello, my favicon doesn’t appear, and didn’t appear in google from the very beginning of my website’s creation.
Also the website name separator seems to be incorrect, I’m using a dash and in google it displays a colon. I need support on this case.
P.S. I’m currently using Rank Math SEO.
Here’s an image of the issue – https://ibb.co/RNzZhL5
I also crawled my page on google search console yesterday and today, and there’s no changes. To be exact, the colon appeared after crawling, yet the favicon still is missing.
Hello, Yury,
Thank you for contacting us and for using XStore.
We would recommend you contact support of the Rank Math SEO plugin first.
We suppose that your question is independent of our theme settings.
Kind Regards,
8theme team
I don’t think its a problem from their end, regarding the fact that the favicon didn’t appear from the very first days. Rank Math was installed recently, and the problem was before the integration of Rank Math plugin. I need support on this case.
Hello, Yury,
We appreciate your prompt response.
The problem is not caused by plugin, but the SEO plugin can help you.
Please check how it works with the Storefront theme to find out if this behavior comes from our theme or from something else.
Kind Regards,
8theme team
I’m unable to experiment with these functions, because google updates the titles and the favicon once per week or sometimes even more. That’s why I’m contacting you, I need a detailed inspection on my backend and a more eloquent solution than the ones you’re providing. Thank you.
Hello, Yury,
We provide support for XStore theme, but your question is independent of the theme. We want to help you still, so we are trying to explain and give some suggestions:
– Unfortunately, we are unable to assist you with the Google search results as the theme is not responsible for them. We suggest that you contact the support team of WooCommerce (https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/) to create a correct sitemap, robots.txt file, and possibly install an SEO plugin (you already installed SEO plugin so support team of the plugin should be able to assist you) for better optimization of your pages, followed by reindexing your site.
– Read this article – https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-a-favicon-to-your-wordpress-blog/
– In our demos, we use Yoast SEO plugin. If you can’t get assistance from Rank Math SEO plugin team, you can try the Yoast SEO plugin.
We hope this information is helpful.
Kind Regards,
8theme team
