Hi,
I’m experiencing issues with WooCommerce elements that were bundled with the Legenda theme. Hope you can help.
ISSUE 1
We sell jewelry and I want to set-up a shop-page for each category of product we have. Instead of directing customers to the shop page where ALL the products are listed together, I want to stream customers by category e.g. bangles, earrings, necklaces etc. I thought the best way to do this was to create separate URLs for each product category and use the Woocommerce element ‘Product Category’ in the visual composer. That element lists all the products from the category I choose. So I thought I could use that element on each of the categories’ URLs and have WooCommerce list all the products in the category. But I want the category pages to behave like the shop page. At the moment they are not.
First problem: I can choose how many items I want the ‘Product Category’ element to display per page, but it doesn’t show the second page. I choose 5 products per page. It shows 5 products and I can’t navigate to see more. I choose 20 products per page. It shows 20 products and i can’t navigate to see more… even if there are 100 products in a category.
Second problem: the ‘Product Categories’ element doesn’t inc. the drop down menu to list products by popularity, price etc.
ISSUE 2
I am using the ‘Product Categories’ element on one of our pages and it is not listing all the categories I’ve entered. I’ve deleted the element, updated the page, gone back in and tried again, but the same thing happens. The same categories are missing. I can’t understand why. Do you know what is happening?
Thanks!
Hello,
1. If you want to show product categories on one page you need select your Shop page as products page in Woocommerce > Settings > Products tab > Display > Shop Page and in “Shop Page Display” field select “Show categories and subcategories”.
Then add Woocommerce widgets into Shop Sidebar area in Appearance > Widgets.
2. You can add Product Categories to your menu and not creating separate pages.
Go to Appearance > Menus > Screen Options (at the top of the page) > tick “Product Categories” and you’ll see them in the left sidebar and will be able to add to your menu.

Hi Eva,
I think you have misunderstood me, because I want to create separate pages for each product category. I do not want all our products on one shop page. I explained in my forum post that I want to have each category of product on a separate page. And I want all the separate pages to have sidebar menus so customers can stream products by price, attribute etc. But the WooCommmerce ‘Product Category’ element in the visual composer is not operating correctly. I need you to help me understand why. I have already explained the problem in my first post. Can you please read my questions again?
Thank you,
Toby
Hello,
Please provide us with a direct page link where you have problems with product categories and describe what exactly is incorrect on that page.
Also give us wp-admin panel access in private content.
Thank you.

Hello,
ISSUE 1
Two of the M2 product categories I selected on this page are not appearing:
http://www.mcldesign.net/laurenza-boutique/
M2 Necklaces and M2 Earrings should also be visible.
ISSUE 2
This page is private and only accessible when logged in to our WP acct:
http://www.mcldesign.net/bangles-m-c-l-by-matthew-campbell-laurenza/
You will see this page has products on it. I used the Woocommerce element ‘Product Category’ in the visual composer.
First problem: The category I chose has 17 products in it. In the WooCommerce Product Category element I chose 10 products per page. You can see 10 products on the page but I can’t navigate to see the other 7 products in this category.
Second problem: I put the shop sidebar on this page. It has many filter widgets in it. None of them appear in the sidebar on this page, so customers couldn’t find a green bangle between $500 and $2000.
Third problem: There is no drop down menu at the top of the page to sort products by popularity, price etc.
Thanks,
Toby
Hello,
1. Please update the theme to the latest version and Woocommerce as well.
Before update delete “woocommerce” folder in the directory wp-content/themes/legenda/ and it’ll be reuploaded from a new theme package.
Also update all required plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ .
Don’t forget to create back up of your files and database before starting update process!
2. Please try to use this Products element http://storage3.static.itmages.com/i/15/0528/h_1432804918_1753641_e35f162b63.png instead of Product Category element of Woocommerce.
Thank you.

Eva Kemp.
