Legenda Update and Installation - by lbuller

I recently took over a website for a new customer and she did not have any of her theme files or log information. After some attempts to get her theme updated I decided to just buy the new version thinking it would override the old one/also you cannot ask questions on the forum without a purchase code. I cannot get it installed/updated and was wondering if I could get some assistance.

You need to enter your purchase code to activate our new theme version.

Yes, I read the documentation and I do know how to install the theme. I guess I was wondering if I upload the new theme will it override the old one? or is there a way to uninstall the old one and then upload the new. Thanks for your help.

Nevermind…I got it. Thank you. One more question…Since I extracted just the Legenda file does that include all the versions such as One Page and parallax or is that in the child theme folder…do I need to load that one also? Also, do I need to run the set up wizard? I realize that the instructions say that I don’t, but I feel like this is more of a new install that the actual update since I purchased the 3.0.

Sorry for the delay.

You can select needed version in Theme Options > Import/Export > Demo versions.
Setup Wizard includes such steps:
1) Theme installation
2) Child theme installation
3) Installation of plugins (Appearance > Install plugins)
4) Theme Activation (Theme Options)
4) Demo content import (Theme Options > Import/Export > choose theme version or additional pages you want to import)
You can do this without the wizard or follow Setup Wizard process.
Also, you can export theme settings in Theme Options > Import/Export > Export Options to be able to restore it to previous state if something goes wrong.
